Monday, January 16, 2017: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Marade

Join members of DCTA on Monday, January 16, 2017 as we march on MLK day!

With our new administration entering office in just a few weeks, it is more important than ever to stand in solidarity with our brothers & sisters of color and our community partners, which is why we’ll be marching shoulder to shoulder with Black Lives Matter 5280 and Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ). We will stand up in power against hate, intolerance, and the greed that works to divide working people. Please join us on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day as we walk down Colfax to the Capitol Building (the total distance is a 5K) with our fellow union members united in the spirit of hope, equality, and justice for working families everywhere.

Family & friends are welcome. Please wear your DCTA t-shirts and bring signs and banners if you’ve got them. We’re not sure what the weather will be like, so remember to layer and dress appropriately.

So excited to march with you all!
