When it comes to COVID-19, it is apparent that DPS has not put all of our educators lives on the forefront of their decision making process. Many members have voiced that concern and it is time to speak up publicly and collectively as a union! We are asking members to take action now by sharing their stories. Here is how we do so:

  • Fill out the prompt below take a picture with it. Post these photos to your social media platforms and include the hashtags #SafetyFirstDPS and #DCTAStrong please tag DCTA in the photos as well.
  • Wear Red on Tuesdays! Take pictures of you and your fellow educators (via zoom or by social distancing with masks on) wearing your red DCTA shirts as a sign of solidarity. Share those photos to social media and email them to aursetta@coloradoea.org. DCTA will share photos on their social media pages. Do not forget to use the hashtags, #SafetyFirstDPS and #DCTAStrong and tag the DCTA pages in your posts!
  • Attend our DCTA COVID Response Town Hall on October 29 at 6 p.m. – Register here!
  • Write a letter to the editor. Contact mgarrison@coloradoea.orgif you would like to take this action.

Participating in these actions will allow us to collectively use our voices and show DPS that our safety needs to be a priority of theirs
