Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA) Endorses Kwame Spearman, son of a DPS teacher and owner of the Tattered Cover for School Board Director At-Large:

DENVER – The Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA) proudly announces its endorsement of Kwame Spearman for the Denver School Board At-Large Race. This decision comes after an extensive process of interviews, member forums, questionnaires, and the overwhelming consensus among our members that Kwame Spearman is the right candidate to support this year.

“We are proud to endorse a leader like Kwame Spearman in his election for the DPS Board At-Large,” said Rob Gould, special education teacher and president of the Denver Classroom Teachers Association. “Kwame comes from a three-generation family of educators and deeply understands that when educators have the vital support that they need, students are able to reach their full potential.”

“Kwame’s experience as a student in Denver Public Schools gives him a unique understanding of what works well for our students and how our system can improve to support them. This drives his commitment to ensuring every student receives a fully supported and high-quality education regardless of zip code.

“As the trusted professionals who support students every day, educators know what students need to thrive in the classroom. That is why we invite the community to join us in supporting Kwame Spearman in his election for the Denver School Board At-Large.”
