DENVER – On Thursday, September 30 Denver education unions, The Association for Building, Grounds and Warehouse Workers (ABGW), The Denver Association for Educational Office Professionals (DAEOP), The Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA), and The Facility Managers Association (FMA) will collectively walk into school buildings to show solidarity as ABGW and DCTA bargain with Denver Public Schools.
The Association of Building, Grounds and Warehouse Worker’s bargaining sessions are centered around allowing employees to file union grievances in instances of racism, discrimination, and retaliation in the workplace. The Denver Classroom Teachers Associations’ bargaining sessions are centered around operational issues that students and educators are experiencing due to COVID.
Walk-ins will take place at the following locations and times:
- Denver South High School (1700 E Louisiana Ave, Denver, CO 80210) at 7:45 a.m.
- Traylor Academy (2900 S Ivan Way, Denver, CO 80227) at 7:45 a.m.
- Skinner Middle School (3435 W 40th Ave, Denver, CO 80211) at 7:10 a.m.
