The Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA) kicks off their first round of school board endorsements by supporting Dr. Carrie Olson in District 3
DENVER, CO – The Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA) kicks off the first round of school board candidate endorsements by supporting Dr. Carrie Olson in Denver Public Schools (DPS) District 3.
“The DCTA Fund is extremely confident in our decision to endorse Dr. Carrie Olson in her re-election to the DPS school board,” said Rob Gould, special education teacher and president of the Denver Classroom Teachers Association. “As a National Board Certified teacher for more than 30 years, a nonprofit leader and as the current president of the DPS school board, it is without question that Carrie is the right choice for DPS students.”
“As the acting DPS School Board President, we have first handedly witnessed Dr. Olson’s collaboration with students, educators, families and community members to do what’s best for our students no matter their zip code, race or learning ability,” said Gould. “We are excited and hopeful that Dr. Olson will continue her work on the board and into this next chapter of DPS.”
The DCTA Fund is the group of elected and appointed members of DCTA, whose function is to recommend the endorsement of political candidates who are supportive of public education, students and educators on behalf of the association.
