Educators at Montbello Campuses to Conduct Solidarity Walk-Ins
DENVER – Denver Classroom Teachers Association members and educators at DCIS Montbello,Collegiate Prep Academy and Noel Community Arts,in a show of solidarity,will collectively walk into schools at 7:45 a.m. on Friday,Oct. 22.

WHERE: Montbello Campus – 5000 Crown Blvd,Denver,CO 80239
WHY: In 2020,the DPS School Board passed the Reimagining Montbello resolution,which would unify the existing school communities of DCIS-Montbello,Noel Community Arts School and Collegiate Preparatory Academy. The Montbello campus would instead be a large comprehensive high school and middle school. Denver Public Schools is treating the unification of the Montbello campuses as a school closure process. This process means that all staff members will be terminated and given the option to go through a re-hiring process without the guarantee of having a position the next year.
